Pray for this Sweet Family!

One of my favorite blogs that I read posted and asked for prayer. This sweet family has been through absolutely everything this year- their home burned down, the dad became critically ill this year after a missions trip, their daughter has a brain tumor, and now their sweet 8 yr-old Ch*na girl may never come home.

This is a summary of their situation from their blog post:

"It is a long story, which I cannot go into, but due to circumstances that were completely out of our control we have not been able to file our paperwork with immigration. (It is near done, but not quite.)
This morning, while grocery shopping I received a phone call from our agency. They had just received word that Ch*na was troubled by the length of time it has taken for our paperwork to get to Immigration, thus they are withdrawing their acceptance of us as Jubilee's parents. Meaning, we no longer have permission from Ch*na to adopt Jubilee.
I asked our agency what do we do now and they said, "We don't know. Ch*na has never done this before." Of course it hasn't.

We need a mountain moved, a miracle to happen and great favor to be issued. We are asking God to move on the Ch*nese Government and rescind that decision and allow us to proceed - we are about 2 days from ready to send it.
Hence, we turn to the Almighty-God of the Universe, who we refer to as the Miracle-working, Mountain-moving, Awe-inspiring, Gasp-giving God....He is the ONLY one able to move this mountain.
Would any of you be willing to pray and/or fast with us tomorrow, Thursday, August 26, 2009? Please pray for Jubilee's protection as well. There is no doubt that things are going on in the supernatural.
PS Please ask any prayer warrior or prayer chain to pray - please? And feel free to post it on your blog."

Oh how my heart is aching for this family. I totally know what it is like to be absolutely in love with a girl thousands of miles away- and to be trapped by government laws. But I also know that our God is powerful, mighty, and mountain-moving. So will you join me in prayer for this little girl?!

"The LORD your God is with you,

he is mighty to save.

He will take great delight in you,

he will quiet you with his love,

he will rejoice over you with singing."

And We're Off!

We're leaving in 2 HOURS!! AHH! I can't believe it!! :) Our plane actually takes off at 2 AM so we still have a long day ahead of us.

I had envisioned this amazing, well-worded blog entry about the day we are leaving, etc. BUT.... I feel like I cannot even write an intelligent sentence right now lol my mind is in so many different places and my heart is already halfway in Guatemala!!! So I'll make it simple!!

We would SO appreciate your prayers!! Here's some specific requests:

1. Safe travel

2. That our luggage would make it there

3. For good recall on my Spanish as I navigate our troop through the airport, to the shuttle, and as we find a taxi to get to the orphanage.

4. That God would be glorified through our words, thoughts, and actions. That He would give us lots of patience and love for each other even in stressful moments!!

5. I ask that through the whole week God would do a mighty work between my brother and I. We love each other alot but there has been quite a bit of tension and conflict in the past year. I am praying for a MIRACLE to take place this week and would love for you to pray along with me!

Thank you dear prayer warriors! We love you all and can't wait to tell you all of God's works in the coming week. I am so excited!! If there's Wifi in the Guatemala airport I'll blog, if not then I'll definitely get on tomorrow night as long as their Internet is working.

Adios!

Pray for a Miracle!!!

3 sweet children are in Ethiopia right now waiting to come home.

Their paperwork is in the hands of a government official, who needs to sign one letter for these precious kids to come home to their forever family, the Semlows.

You can read the full story here:
www.semlowadoption.blogspot.com

Prayer warriors, we must petition the throne room for this family. Pray that these kids would be released from this mess of paperwork and freed to join their family. Our God is a God of miracles and we're trusting Him to bring these children home.

"I will not leave you as orphans. I will come to you."

Prayer Needed!!

Prayer warriors, let's get on our knees on behalf of this family!! Salomae came home this year from Ethiopia. Her health started deteriorating upon her arrival home and the suspected health problems ended up being much more serious than anticipated. Her spine is deteriorating and she's going in for surgery on Thursday.

Please pray:
- For the doctors hands as they operate on this sweet girl.
- For PEACE PEACE PEACE for parents, Salomae, and the 4 other children they have.
- That Salomae will have a miraculous recovery and that the surgery would be completely successful.
- That Salomae will have an understanding of what is happening and why. She's only been home for a few months and has already undergone so much medical treatment.

If you'd like to visit their blog hop on over and leave them an encouraging comment. I've been amazed sometimes at the power of a comment on someone's blog- even when you don't know the person!! http://notquitedoneadopting.blogspot.com/
